National funders look to the League of American Orchestras for leadership in regranting funds to orchestras to help them address critical needs. Current programs are the American Orchestras\u2019 Futures Fund and The Catalyst Fund. The Futures Fund, with support from the Ann and Gordon Getty Foundation, is helping to spark a culture of innovation and experimentation among orchestras. The Catalyst Fund, with support from the Mellon Foundation and additional support from the Paul M. Angell Family Foundation, is helping orchestras by providing grants to advance equity, diversity, and inclusion through internal capacity building and organizational development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both of these forward-looking grant programs benefit not only the grantees, but the entire field. The League creates resources and learning events based on the grantees\u2019 work so that all orchestras can learn from the their experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n

Advancing Innovation: The League\u2019s American Orchestras\u2019 Futures Fund<\/a><\/h3>\n \n
\n The American Orchestras\u2019 Futures Fund is a competitive grants program designed to advance the innovative work of the League of American Orchestras\u2019 member orchestras. Made possible through the generous support of the Ann and Gordon Getty Foundation and administered by the League, the Futures Fund builds on the results of earlier League-sponsored and Getty-funded grants to orchestras.\n <\/div>\n\n \n \n<\/svg>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n

Ford Musician Impact Fund<\/a><\/h3>\n \n
\n Orchestra musicians are now recording \u201cat home\u201d performances and creating educational programming for virtual broadcast in support of their organizations during the pandemic. Increasingly, sound and video quality have become an important metric for a successful online experience. The Ford Musician Impact Fund will assist musicians in need of hardware and accessories to make their digital presence stronger, giving them the professional tools they need to deliver at the highest level in our current reality.\n\nApplications for the Impact Fund will be accepted until all funds have been distributed.\n <\/div>\n\n \n \n<\/svg>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
