Increasingly, sound and video quality have become an important metric for a successful online experience. The Ford Musician Impact Fund will assist musicians in need of hardware and accessories to make their digital presence stronger, giving them the professional tools they need to deliver at the highest level in our current reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>APPLICATION DEADLINE:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>*Applications are no longer being accepted*<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h2 id=\"at-0\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"ac-0\">About the Fund<\/h2><div id=\"ac-0\" class=\"c-accordion__content\" style=\"display:none\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>$25,000 will be distributed to orchestra musicians to assist in making their virtual presence stronger.<\/li><li>More than 150 musicians&nbsp;will receive a one-time payment of $150 for the purchase of hardware and\/or accessories.<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h2 id=\"at-1\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"ac-1\"><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/h2><div id=\"ac-1\" class=\"c-accordion__content\" style=\"display:none\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Orchestra musicians from League member orchestras are eligible.&nbsp;<em>(Youth, collegiate, and international&nbsp;orchestra musicians are not eligible.)&nbsp;<\/em><\/li><li>A limit of three musicians per orchestra will be awarded.<\/li><li>The Impact Fund&nbsp;supports virtual work done with the orchestra, including solo performance and chamber music, i.e., \u201cat home\u201d performances and educational programming.&nbsp;<em>(Activities like private teaching&nbsp;are not eligible.)<\/em><\/li><li>The Impact Fund prioritizes&nbsp;<strong>need-based<\/strong>&nbsp;purchases of microphones, cameras, lighting, video editing software, audio editing software, tripods, and accessories.<\/li><li>Fund recipients will be asked to share video links and photos so we can tell the story of the work you are doing.&nbsp;<\/li><li>The League encourages applicants of all backgrounds, especially Black, Brown, and female-identifying musicians. Past applicants are welcome to apply again.<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h2 id=\"at-2\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"ac-2\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/h2><div id=\"ac-2\" class=\"c-accordion__content\" style=\"display:none\">\n<p>Submit a one-page statement responding to the following prompts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Tell us why you are in need of this equipment and how it will make an impact in the work you do.<\/li><li>How much does it cost? Please include a link or screenshot to the item(s).<\/li><li>What \u201cat home\u201d performances, educational programming, and\/or virtual orchestra-related work are you doing and how does it support your orchestra?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>We anticipate a large volume of applications.<\/li><li>You will receive an acknowledgement of your application.<\/li><li>You must be logged in as a member in order to apply for this grant. You\u2019ll be asked to login as a member, or musician member of an orchestra. These are the same login credentials you use for League360 and the Hub. If you are unsure of your login, please contact Member Services at&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:member@americanorchestras.org\"><strong>member@americanorchestras.org<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li><li>We hope to respond to Impact Fund awardees within five business days.
